"You gave the day a cinematic air and the wedding will be remembered all the more for the atmosphere you gave. Thank you for learning Lucie's favourite song it sounded lovely"
Congratulations! Weddings are such wonderful occasions and I’d love to be a part of making your day that extra bit special. I’m here to help create the right atmosphere for your event so that you and your guests can relax and enjoy your day. The harp is a perfect addition to any celebration; whether you’re looking for smooth classical music, jazz or pop arrangements, the harp can do it all! I have a Concert Grand Pedal harp which I use for most weddings but I am also able to perform on my Celtic Lever Harp to suit your needs and preferences. Please have a look through the FAQ section below and get in touch for a personalised quote for your event.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?I am happy to play outside but the harp needs to be stood on hard ground, or a flat, firm surface. I will need shelter to perform if it is raining or in direct sunlight as my instrument is valuable and could be damaged.
-
Can you learn specific pieces before the event? If there are specific pieces that you’d like to be played during your ceremony and they're not already in my repertoire, I’ll find or create an arrangement! Furthermore, we can discuss any music you’d particularly like including in the rest of the day from my existing repertoire, whether that be as the guests arrive or for a drinks reception.
-
What kind of music can you play on the harp?Classical, pop, jazz, folk... the list goes on! I have a large range of classical repertoire, including works from the harp canon and well-known favourites arranged for the instrument. My set can also include jazz & blues for harp, pop song arrangements and folk tunes depending on your preferences. If you're interesting in having a harpist at your event, get in touch and we can chat about what music you'd like to have.
-
How much time do you need to set up?I need around 30 minutes before the performance in order to set up and tune. For most settings, playing acoustically will be very effective but for larger numbers, amplification may be needed. If amplification is needed for your event, I can provide my own equipment or use the venue's PA is suitable. This will take slightly longer than the standard time.
-
How much space do you require?I use a Concert Grand Pedal harp for most weddings as it offers the most flexibility in terms of repertoire and produces a larger sound! I require 1.5m x 2m space in the venue for this, and slightly larger (2m x 2m) for amplified harp. For smaller venues, or more intimate settings, I’m able to play my Celtic Lever Harp which can be an ideal solution, especially in historic or unique venues which are inaccessible to a Pedal Harp. If you’d like to make an enquiry, we can discuss the best options for your event, considering the harp and any amplification needed.

Do you need amplification? For most settings, playing acoustically will be very effective. In some cases, especially with larger numbers, amplification may be needed - I can provide the equipment if this is the case.
-
How much do you charge?Prices vary depending on the duration of the booking and the transport costs to the venue with bookings starting from £260. Please get in touch to discuss your needs and receive a personalised quote.
